1. Why power on the GPSmile 62 and it just hang without any other reaction?

The root cause should be the system files lost or broken, you have to send it back to us for 
reapir, the device have re-update the OS system firmware again.
Please try to contact your original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

2. How many capacity of memory card can be supported on GPsmile 62 device?

The GPSmile 62 can support the maximum of Micro-SD card is 4GB(without support SDHC format).
How ever, the current SD card of manufacturer and vendor are too many, we couldn't guarantee 
that all of them can be supported, therefore we would suggest you trying to buy some big brand
of vendor~ such as:SanDisk、Kingston、Transcend....。

3. Why my latptop can dectect the GPSmile 6210, when it is connecting by USB cable?

The problem should be the USB port of voltage isn't enough or stable to start-up USB connections.
Therefore we would suggest you trying to change another USB port or laptop to check again.
If the problem still persist, the device should be a problem. Please try to contact your 
original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

4. My GPSmile 62 of battery had dead where can I buy a new one to replacement?

You can go to our "online store" to buy it on Holux website.

5. why my GPSmile 62 does not auto power-off, I always have a dead battery?

Normally, our GPSmile 62 will auto power-off in 10 second count down, when the power adapter was 
cut off. How ever, it didn’t support to cut off power completely when you press the power button.
This power button was belonged to suspense function, not able to power off completely.
Therefore you possibly get the dead the end of battery in few days if PND device didn’t charge by 
power adapter.

Unfortunately, this is normal reaction currently, sorry to make you inconvenience. 

6. I bought GPSmile 6210 in Singapore but where can I download or update the map files?
Holux just belong to manufacturing GPS receiver of expert and provide technical and repair service for hardware device. And Holux sell these GPS hardware devices to abroad distributor of customer.

Then the local distributor will take responsible to decide which kind of map navigation be used and attached the backup CD of map navigation into the package.

Therefore we (Holux) really don’t have any map software reference or development skill.

But I think you may contact our local distributor in Singapore for support directly, they could help you. Sorry to make you inconvenience!

7. I just bought car GPS GPSmile 6210 in Singapore, How can I register the product warranty online?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide this kind of register service for warranty.
The register function was made for online store when you need to buy something on Holux website.
Holux will base on warranty card to execute the repair service (normally, 1 year).

Therefore we think the register service should be served by you local distributor or reseller.

8. The package only supplys a Car charger and USB cable, how to keep charging for 8 hrs?

Yes, you are right. But we provide this information was the normal instruction from battery vendor provided.
Normally, we had already tested the battery charge function in few times before shipping.
You can directly normal operation when the device be plugged the car charger.

By the way, if you really need the home adapter you can refer our Online store website.
Pls. choose the “Home Adapter” item and click the “67077-11N Home Adapter”, it can work compatible with each other.

9. How to use the "Multimedia" function on the GPSmile 62 or 6210+?

Pls. try to check your content of SD card with card reader in the laptop whether it had included the 
folder about MP3 / Vedio / Photo ~
"Image" folder ~ for store photo, it just support the format of *.jpg file and the Dots Per inch of 
        photo limit is 600 mega pixels (3000x2200 dpi)
"MP3" folder ~ for store music, it just support the format of *.mp3 file.
"film" folder ~ for store the Vedio, it just support the format of *.wmv and *.asf file.

If you don’t have these folders in you SD card, pls. try to re-establish the folder (make sure the 
name of folder is correct) and check again.

10. Why the 62 can't receive the GPS signal?
It could be the GPS module fault, how ever we would suggst doing simple test to verify, the procedure is below~

1. Please take 62F to outdoor of open sky to test.

2. Please power on device and go to "Setting" --> Click "Reset GPS" function then verifying whether it can get fixing location and GPS signal.  You can refer this file File:Reset GPS-02.pdf to check out.

If the problem still persists, please try to contact your original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

1. 請問,GPSmile 62開機後,機器無任何畫面;按任何鍵都無任何反應?

此部分可能您機器內的系統檔案有遺失或損毀所導致,故得要將機器送回維修,重新更新安裝OS與應用程式檔案。

2. 請問,GPSmile 62一定要再開機時才會進行充電嗎?

機器只要一感應到外電供應時,便會自動開機了,此狀態下是會進行能充電;另外您也可按power鍵,將機器進入休眠模式。
此狀態下,充電器仍會對機器進行充電;充飽時,在畫面右上方的電池圖樣符號便會消失。

3. 請問GPsmile 62可使用到多大的記憶卡?

而GPSmile 62可以支援Micro-SD card最大容量4GB(且無法支援SDHC的規格);而由於目前SD card的廠牌眾多,我們無法
保證可以支援全數的廠牌。我們會建議您購買較大廠商之SD Card,例如:SanDisk、金士頓、友勁、創見等。

4. 請問GPSmile 62的電池哪裡可以購買,自行替換?

5. 請問,當初有購買GPSmile 62之PAPAGO X5升級版圖資,但X5的最新地圖更新檔要至何處下載;官網找不到?

您可至以下連結位置,點選<雪精靈>機型;來下載X5的最新圖資地圖,此地圖檔是可與您購買的升級X5.5主程式共用的。
未來煩請您至該機型位置,來下載定期更新之X5地圖檔案;您可至Holux網站上,直接於您所屬導航機的下載路徑位置,來點選進行下載~ ftp://supportgps:1135gps@support.holux.com.tw/RMA/index.htm 

 

提醒您<雪精靈>與<GPSmile 62>機型的PAPAGO X5主程式兩者是不能互用的;因為了個主程式預設值的GPS COM port位置是不一樣的,所以不能互用。但針對X5的地圖更新檔案部分,兩種主程式皆可共用此地圖檔;故只需下載最新地圖檔,便可與您購買的升級X5.5主程式共用了。

6. 請問GPSmile 62後方的外接天線孔是 MMCX 還是 MCX的接頭?

我們的NAV-62適用MMCX接頭的,所以您欲添購外接天線來增加GPS訊號,便要注意接頭需要是MMCX的規格。

7. 請問,GPSmil 62多媒體應用如何操作使用?

請您先以讀卡機確認您的Micro SD card的內容是否有音樂 / 相片 / 影像之資料夾 ~
"Image"資料夾 ~ 存放圖片用、支援*.jpg的檔案格式、解析度上限600萬畫素(3000x2200 dpi)
"Music"資料夾 ~ 存放音樂用的、支援*.wma的檔案格式
"film"資料夾 ~ 存放影像用的、支援*.wmv和*.asf的檔案格式

若您沒有這些資料夾,請你嘗試自行建立於micro SD card內(資料夾名稱須正確);再確認一次看看,是否能播放。

8. 請問,GPSmile 62 之X3_MAP台灣更地圖為何無法下載?

我們推測可能瞬間的下載流量過大導致;另位提醒您,公司會針對續傳軟體部份有限制同一個IP可下載的檔案數。
故部建議您使用續傳軟體,我們建議您,是否換另一台電腦;至相同的Holux官網連結處,再嘗試下載一次看看。
若您仍無法下載的話,再請與我們客服維修單位聯繫;他們會協助提供您更新檔案~ RMA@holux.com

9. 請問,為何我用家中的Mini-USB旅充來充電GPSmile 62,可是電池卻都無法充滿?

這部分可能是您該旅充規格不符,一般我們建議旅充輸出規格 5V/2A 才可以。

11. 請問為何使用62在我的車上,其機器卻都花很久時間才定位,是否擋風玻璃的隔熱紙會有影響?

是的,隔熱紙確實會有影響;只是不同牌子的隔熱紙,影響GPS接收的程度也不同。

首先一定要知道,GPS這種電子產品要獲得最佳的接收效能;勢必要在戶外空曠的環境下(無遮蔽物),才能獲得最好的定位效能。

所以只要有任何影響輻射電波的物質,都會導致GPS的定位效能變差;其中以金屬物質的影響最大。

而目前市面上的隔熱紙主要訴求有3大功能~

1.可見光穿透率      2.紅外線阻隔率      3.抗UV能力

其中就以紅外線阻隔這功能,對GPS的接收影響最大;因為隔熱紙為達到此功能,匯鍍上一層金屬膜。而該膜的金屬成份,便對GPS的定位造成很大的影響;所以可能紅外線阻隔率越高的隔熱紙,其GPS所需花費定位的時間會更長、甚至無法定位!

一般若要GPS能有最佳的定位訊號,擋風玻璃無隔熱紙是最好的;不然只能建議,要尋找紅外線阻隔率較低的廠牌隔熱紙,但不管如何一定都會對GPS的定位效能上造成影響。
