1. Why power on the device and it just freeze to show Holux start-up screen without any other reaction?

The root cause should be the system files lost or broken, you have to send it back to us for 
reapir, the device have re-update the OS system firmware again.
 
Please try to contact your original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

2. Why my latptop can dectect this device, when it is connecting by USB cable?

The problem should be the USB port of voltage isn't enough or stable to start-up USB connections.
Therefore we would suggest you trying to change another USB port or laptop to check again.
If the problem still persist, the device should be a problem. Please try to contact your 
original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

3.How many capacity of memory card can be supported on this device?

This device can support the maximum of Micro-SD card is 4GB(and also support SDHC format).
How ever, the current SD card of manufacturer and vendor are too many, we couldn't guarantee 
that all of them can be supported, therefore we would suggest you trying to buy some big brand 
of vendor~ such as:SanDisk、Kingston、Transcend....。

4. Where can I get the 62E battery to replace by myself?

Unfortunately, this model of battery was belonged to embedded system, it didn't sell for after 
market and it wasn't easily to replace by yourself.

If you really get the battery un-chargeable issue please try to contact your original reseller 
for support to execute repairing process.
If you bought in Singapore I think you may contact our local distributor in Singapore for support,

5. Why the 62E can't receive the GPS signal?
It could be the GPS module fault, how ever we would suggst doing simple test to verify, the procedure is below~

1. Please take 62E to outdoor of open sky to test the GPS signal.

2. Please power on device and go to "Setting" --> and click "Gps symbol" icon to view whether it can get fixing location and GPS signal.  You can refer this file File:GPS Viewer-02.pdf to check out.

If the problem still persists, please try to contact your original reseller for support to execute repairing process.

6. I bought 62E at Singapore but where can I download or update the map files?
Holux just belong to manufacturing GPS receiver of expert and provide technical and repair service for hardware device. And Holux sell these GPS hardware devices to abroad distributor of customer.

Then the local distributor will take responsible to decide which kind of map navigation be used and attached the backup CD of map navigation into the package.

Therefore we (Holux) really don’t have any map software reference or development skill.

But I think you may contact our local distributor in Singapore for support directly, they could help you. Sorry to make you inconvenience!

  7. I just bought car GPS GPSmile 62E in Singapore, How can I register the product warranty online?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide this kind of register service for warranty.
The register function was made for online store when you need to buy something on Holux website.
Holux will base on warranty card to execute the repair service (normally, 1 year).

Therefore we think the register service should be served by you local distributor or reseller.

8. The package only supplys a Car charger and USB cable, how to keep charging for 8 hrs?

Yes, you are right. But we provide this information was the normal instruction from battery vendor provided.
Normally, we had already tested the battery charge function in few times before shipping.
You can directly normal operation when the device be plugged the car charger.

By the way, if you really need the home adapter you can refer our Online store website.

1. 請問,62E開機時就當在開機畫面而不會動,用重置鍵没有作用;是否有解決的方法?

此部分可能您機器內的系統檔案有遺失或損毀所導致,故得要將機器送回維修,重新更新安裝OS與應用程式檔案。

2. 請問,62E一定要再開機時才會進行充電嗎?

機器只要一感應到外電供應時,便會自動開機了;故您會覺得是在開機狀態下才能充電,您可再按power鍵,將機器關閉。
此狀態下,充電器仍會對機器進行充電;充飽時,LED燈便會由紅色變綠色了。

3.請問62E可使用到多大的記憶卡,我更新地圖時,它顯示記憶體不足,是不是得要使用記憶卡才可以解決?

一般可以支援Micro-SD card最大容量至4GB(可支援SDHC的規格);而由於目前SD card的廠牌眾多,我們無法保證可
以支援全數的廠牌。我們會建議您購買較大廠商之SD Card,例如:SanDisk、金士頓、友勁、創見等。

4. 請問62E之電池可以自行更換嗎?

抱歉,此電池屬內建、非可自行替換式的;故外面並無販售,你需送回原廠來進行替換。

5.GPSmile 62E, RAM記憶體 的正確規格是 64MB 還是 128MB 呢?

是的,當初該62E的機型,因為市面上經銷商的需求不同;故主要有分兩種規格的62E產品~
規格1 : SDRAM-64MB / Nand Flash-64MB / Micro-SD card (Max.) 4GB / CPU - SiRF Atlas III
規格2 : SDRAM-128MB / Nand Flash-2GB / Micro-SD card (Max.) 4GB / CPU - SiRF Atlas IV
因市面上產品料號眾多,故可能不易區分;若您購買時,可透過CPU的規格來確認出,該62E的硬體規格為何

6. 請問62E更新至X5.5的版本後,發現無機踏車模式;故欲使用為原購買時所附的X3版本,請問何處可以下載?

7. 與電腦連接來充電時,LED燈一直都亮綠燈耶;但一段時間後,便無法蓄電;沒插電開不了機,為何會如此?

確實不建議以電腦USB port來充電(因為電腦USB之電壓不足,會導致無法有效充電);請直接以車充來充電。

而目前的產品皆無包含旅充配件(屬簡配),原則上在行駛時透過車充充電即可;若您確實有需要旅充的話,可至Holux官網進行購買。

8. 請問,PAPAGO X5的圖資軟體內儲存的我的最愛更,如欲另外保留備份,該保留哪些檔案?

這部份您只需要將軟體裡的"Save"資料夾,整個複製備份下來即可;您可將機器與電腦連接後,至<Navi>資料夾裡、會再
看到一<Save>資料夾,點選該資料夾複製備份到您其它的儲存硬碟裡即可。未來您若有將整個圖資主程式與地圖檔清除更新
後,再將此"Save"資料夾,一樣放入到正確路徑內即可。

9. 請問到PAPAGO網站註冊後,為何此機型沒有X5的圖資可選擇下載?

此產品的X5更新圖資,您可至Holux官網來下載更新;PAPAGO官網目前只提供X3版本的下載。
您未來要下載圖資,可至Holux網站上之<服務與支援>處點選;此部分可參閱該File:圖資下載.pdf更新說明檔。


10.請問62E為何用USB功能來與電腦連結,但電腦卻偵測不到?

首先提醒您,一般電腦上的USB port眾多,但未必每個port之輸出電壓皆有達5V;您可嘗試
不同位置的USB port或其他電腦來連接看看,只要電壓輸出穩定足夠5V,那機器皆都可正常與電腦連接。

另外62E本身有了種硬體規格,如前面問題5裡所提到的;故也請確認您的機器,是屬內建Flash 2GB的版本才有支援。

11. 請問,台灣地圖為何無法下載,是否伺服器有問題?

我們推測可能瞬間的下載流量過大導致;另位提醒您,公司會針對續傳軟體部份有限制同一個IP可下載的檔案數。
故部建議您使用續傳軟體,我們建議您,是否換另一台電腦;至相同的Holux官網連結處,再嘗試下載一次看看。

12. 請問官網上62E使用手冊說明裡,說支援wma的音樂檔;但為何其它購物網站,卻標明可以支援mp3檔?

很抱歉造成您的誤解與困擾,因62E本身有兩種硬體規格,如前面問題5裡所提到的;故其支援格式也不同
舊規格~ GPSmile 62E (SiRF A3)的,此版本確實為有支援MP3格式。
新版規格~ 目前的GPSmile 62E 最新的SiRF A4,而此版便只支援WMA格式。

13.請問62E欲使用即時路況資訊功能(TMC),哪裡可以購買?

可至Holux官網之"線上購物"區來進行購買,link~ http://www.holux.com/JCoreTW/en/support/partProductList.jsp 

類別請選取"TMC接收器"、型號請選取"GPSmile62E";另外此配件也會搭配附上含TMC功能的PAPAGO X5圖資軟體,如下圖所示~

14. 請問為何使用62E在我的車上,其機器卻都花很久時間才定位,是否擋風玻璃的隔熱紙會有影響?

是的,隔熱紙確實會有影響;只是不同牌子的隔熱紙,影響GPS接收的程度也不同。

首先一定要知道,GPS這種電子產品要獲得最佳的接收效能;勢必要在戶外空曠的環境下(無遮蔽物),才能獲得最好的定位效能。

所以只要有任何影響輻射電波的物質,都會導致GPS的定位效能變差;其中以金屬物質的影響最大。

而目前市面上的隔熱紙主要訴求有3大功能~

1.可見光穿透率      2.紅外線阻隔率      3.抗UV能力

其中就以紅外線阻隔這功能,對GPS的接收影響最大;因為隔熱紙為達到此功能,匯鍍上一層金屬膜。而該膜的金屬成份,便對GPS的定位造成很大的影響;所以可能紅外線阻隔率越高的隔熱紙,其GPS所需花費定位的時間會更長、甚至無法定位!

一般若要GPS能有最佳的定位訊號,擋風玻璃無隔熱紙是最好的;不然只能建議,要尋找紅外線阻隔率較低的廠牌隔熱紙,但不管如何一定都會對GPS的定位效能上造成影響。
